B2B Eps. 3 – How to Create the Perfect Imagery (Get the Best Photos)
One of the most crucial aspects of success on Amazon is optimization of a listing. Fully optimizing and maximizing a listing’s ability to make sales STARTS with great photos. From the main image, which grabs the attention of the browsing buyer, to the supporting images that allow the potential customer to visualize themselves using the product, excellent imagery sets the stage for the whole transaction.
Today in Episode 3 of our Back to Basics program, we will discuss how to create the perfect imagery to get more TRAFFIC and SALES to your Amazon listing!
Step 1 – Make sure your main image is the best photo possible for your product and that it adheres to Amazon’s main image rules. Use the highest resolution possible (at least 300dpi). Make the pixel ratio either a perfect square or the length greater than the width.
Step 2 – Take pictures of your product from multiple angles to give customers a chance to experience it the way they would in a store.
Step 3 – Take staged shots on a backdrop or setting.
Step 4 – Take action or “lifestyle” shots showing your product in use. This also should show a model representing your target market.
Step 5 – Create infographics that show the product’s best features with text and illustrations right on the image.
Step 6 – Split test the main image to see which gets the most sessions. Then split test the other images to see which ones convert best.
